Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Mindful Beginnings

Arrive in Paro and receive a traditional Bhutanese welcome before driving to Thimphu. Settle in, enjoy a gentle walking meditation, and join an opening session to set intentions, followed by an introduction to Bhutanese Buddhism and mindfulness.

Day 2: Foundations of Mindfulness

Begin the day with meditation and mindful eating. Learn essential breath-awareness techniques and practice guided meditation at the Buddha Dordenma statue. Visit Thimphu’s key monasteries and end the day with body-awareness meditation.

Day 3: Deepening Awareness

Focus on working with thoughts and emotions through meditation, teachings, and individual guidance. Practice compassion and loving-kindness, with time for reflection and optional traditional hot stone bath.

Day 4: Journey to Punakha

Travel mindfully over Dochula Pass, stopping for meditation and prayer flag offerings. Enjoy a picnic lunch in nature, walking meditation along the Mo Chhu River, and an evening teaching on mindfulness in daily life.

Day 5: Sacred Sites & Nature Practice

Meditate at Punakha Dzong and explore mindfulness in action. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, practice forest bathing, and relax with mindful movement and contemplation.

Day 6: Wisdom Teachings & Return to Paro

Visit a Buddhist nunnery for meditation and teachings on impermanence and non-attachment. Return to Paro for meditation at Kyichu Lhakhang and cultural immersion.

Day 7: Tiger’s Nest Pilgrimage

Embark on a mindful hike to Taktsang Monastery with meditation stops along the trail. Spend time in reflection at this sacred site before a closing teaching and farewell ceremony.

Day 8: Integration & Departure

Conclude the journey with gratitude meditation, integration guidance for daily life, and departure from Paro with practical mindfulness tools.
