Gangtey Trek

3 Days

Overview

The Gangtey Trek is a short and relatively easy trekking experience in Bhutan, ideal for travelers who wish to enjoy Himalayan landscapes without strenuous climbs. Although the trek can be undertaken year-round, the best seasons are March–May and September–November, when weather conditions are most favorable and views are at their best.

This scenic trek winds through juniper, bamboo, magnolia, and rhododendron forests, crossing clear mountain streams and passing traditional villages and ancient monasteries. With mostly gentle gradients and forested trails, the Gangtey Trek is perfectly suited for first-time trekkers, families, and cultural travelers seeking a balanced blend of nature and heritage.
