Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Arrive in Paro on a scenic Himalayan flight and drive to Thimphu via Chuzom, the confluence of Paro and Thimphu rivers. Visit Tashichho Dzong and Buddha Point, followed by an evening walk through Thimphu city and the Local Crafts Bazaar.

Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing – Drive to Punakha / Wangdue

Explore Thimphu’s cultural sites including the National Library, Painting School, Textile Museum, Simply Bhutan, and Memorial Chorten. Drive across Dochula Pass (3,088m) for stunning Himalayan views before reaching Punakha/Wangdue.

Day 03: Punakha – Paro

Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong and the fertility temple Chimi Lhakhang. Drive back to Paro via scenic river valleys, stopping at Simtokha Dzong en route.

Day 04: Paro Sightseeing

Hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang). Later visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong), Rinpung Dzong, and the ancient Kyichu Lhakhang. Explore Paro town and local markets.

Day 05: Depart Paro

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
